Seasons

The purpose of the Firebirds Track Club is to give young girls & boys an opportunity to train and compete in the sport of track & field. Our youth athletes compete at local, regional and national U.S.A. Track & Field (USATF) and Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) meets.

Coaching

All of our coaches are United States Track & Field (USATF) certified.  Some of our coaches started as Firebirds athletes themselves.  Many of our coaches involvement with the Club started as parents.  The Club accepts applications for those interested in coaching youth athletics and provides opportunity and assistance for certifications.

Fundraising

The Firebirds Track Club is a 501(c)(3) organization. The Firebirds Track Club holds various fundraising events throughout the year to support our mission of training and developing youth track & field scholar-athletes.

Practice Locations

During the outdoor season, the Firebirds practice at various locations throughout upper Montgomery County, including Gaithersburg High School, Northwest High School and Clarksburg High School. During the indoor season, the Firebirds practice at Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, MD.

OFF THE BLOCKS: THE 2026 OUTDOOR TRACK SEASON IS APPROACHING

With Indoor season wrapping up, the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field season is officially on the horizon! Whether you're chasing a personal record, a spot on the podium, or  want to learn a new discipline, this is the season to make it happen!
