Indoor Season:  Registration for the indoor season typically opens in October of each year.  Athletes can register by navigating to the registration link on our website.  The indoor season begins in November and runs through the first week of March. Athletes will participate in time trials at the beginning of the season to establish their marks and train with the goal of improving those times during the season.  The club competes at track meets on weekends in the indoor track facilities at the Prince George’s Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Md. and the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.  Athletes who qualify for the AAU National Indoor Junior Olympics will compete the first week of March each year in Virginia Beach against competitors from across the country.  Each indoor season concludes with an awards banquet held in March for all indoor season athletes to celebrate their accomplishments on and off the track.

Outdoor Season:  Registration for the outdoor season typically opens in March of each year. Athletes can register by navigating to the registration link on our website.  The outdoor season begins each year in April and runs through the first week of August. Athletes will participate in time trials at the beginning of the season to establish their marks and train with the goal of improving those times during the season.  The club competes at track meets held throughout the DMV capital region on various weekends beginning in May.  The club selects a national championship meet each outdoor season (either the AAU Junior Olympic Games or the USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships) to attend for athletes that obtain the required qualifying standard in their events. These national championship meets are held annually during the last week of July/first week of August in various locations around the country.  In recent years, the team has traveled to North Carolina and Texas for national championship meets.  In 2023, the club will attend the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa.  Each outdoor season concludes with an awards banquet held in September for all outdoor season athletes to celebrate their accomplishments on and off the track.

***Participation in all meets is voluntary.  The club understands that students and families have competing academic, religious, social and family commitments and may choose not to participate in meets that conflict with their previous commitments.***
