The 2010 Firebirds are ready for flight, and are inviting you to join us for another exciting season.  This will be our 29th year and we’re looking forward to another successful season!
 
WHO:

Boys and Girls ages 6-18 as of December 31, 2010. (18 year olds not turning 19 before August 1, 2010, are also eligible.)

WHERE: 

Practices will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Gaithersburg High School, in Gaithersburg, MD from 6 – 8 p.m.  Meets are generally all day Saturdays and occasional Sundays.

WHEN: The first practice will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.
FEE:

There will be a $165 registration fee per participant and a $135 registration fee  for each additional sibling living in the same household.  High school athletes will pay a registration fee of $120.  

NOTE:  The HS REGISTRATION FEEs only applies to high school athletes participating during the HS season starting May 24, 2010.  Any HS athlete participating during the regular season starting in April will be required to pay the regular fee amounts of $165, listed above.

We accept all payment types (check, cashier check or money order) made payable to Firebirds Athletic Club.  Any return checks will be assessed a “return check charge” and any further payments throughout the season will only be accepted in the form of Cash, Certified Check, or Money Orders.

The deadline for registration and fees is April 29, 2010.  The HS registration and fee deadline is June 3, 2010.  NO REFUNDS!
UNIFORM:  

The Firebird uniform consists of a meet uniform and a warm-up suit (jacket & pants).  Obtain and complete a uniform order form to ensure correct sizing and to view other optional items available.  New athletes will need to purchase a warm-up suit (see uniform order form).  The uniform cost is included in the registration fee.  Former athletes may purchase separate uniform items as needed.  Refer to pricing sheet for individual prices. 

MEMBERSHIP:

The team is a member of the PVA (Potomac Valley Association) and all athletes will be registered with USATF.  Athletes will have the opportunity to participate in Track & Field events on a local, state, regional and national level.

PARENTS: Please have your child examined by a physician before he/she participates
